The Toowoomba Regional Sports Hall of Fame promotes the sporting greatness of the Toowoomba Region.

It celebrates the contribution that sporting icons from the area have made to the development of a rich culture in our region and in Australia. Ultimately, we hope to generate a sense of community pride and be an inspiration for the next generation of athletes.

The list of outstanding athletes from our region is as extensive as any area in Australia. Toowoomba is famous nationwide for “batting above its weight” in the sporting arena.

We are proudly partnered with Sports Darling Downs and each year we are given the opportunity to announce the next inductees at their annual awards night. After the announcements, official induction events are held for each of our new inductees.

At this stage, the Hall of Fame acknowledges inductees through these formal presentations, and they are remembered through this webpage. The long-term vision is to one day honour the inductees in a physical space.

It is hoped the Toowoomba Regional Sports Hall of Fame is part of a larger Australian Museum of Country Sport. This museum will reflect the contribution that sport has made to the development of country areas and will highlight how regional athletes have had a major influence on Australian Sport.
